Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

This policy applies to the website jana48express.com and to the JANA48 Express mobile app (iOS and Android). It describes what information we collect, what we use it for, and who we share it with.

JANA48 Express is operated by a single independent driver with their own client base, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are not a multi-driver marketplace platform.

Information we collect

Through the app, we collect:

Your phone number, to sign in with a one-time verification code (OTP). We do not use passwords.
Your name and basic profile details, and — if you register as a driver — your vehicle type and license plate.
Foreground location while the app is open, to geocode addresses and calculate routes and estimated fares.
Background location, only for drivers with an active trip, so the passenger can see the vehicle approaching.
Profile photos and, for drivers, vehicle photos, if you choose to upload them.
Payment information: JANA48 Express does not store card numbers. Payments are processed through Stripe, which receives and safeguards that data directly.
Trip history: pickup and drop-off points, time, trip status, and the agreed fare.
A push notification identifier (token), to notify you when your driver accepts, arrives, or completes the trip.

Information we collect on the website

jana48express.com is an informational site: it has no forms, does not require sign-up or passwords, and does not sell or book anything directly. We do not collect personal data through the website.

The site may use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. While that measurement is not enabled, no browsing data is sent to Google. If it's enabled in the future, we'll note that here and use Google Analytics' standard IP anonymization.

How we use your information

To verify your identity and give you access to the app.
To coordinate rides, errands, deliveries, item transport, or flatbed vehicle transport: calculating routes and fares and providing tracking when available.
To process the agreed payment for each service.
To send you notifications related to your trip (accepted, arrived, started, completed).
To provide support when you contact us.
To meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

We share it only in these cases:

With your driver or passenger: name, photo, and location during the trip — what's needed to complete it safely.
With Supabase, our database, authentication, and realtime notification provider — it hosts the information described above.
With Google Maps, to geocode addresses and calculate routes — it receives the pickup and destination addresses you enter.
With Stripe, to process payments — it receives your payment method details directly, never through our servers.
With our SMS provider, to send your verification code by text message.
With Expo, to deliver push notifications to your device.
If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of JANA48 Express or others.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can request account deletion at any time (see "Your choices" below).

Your choices

You can review and update your profile information directly in the app.
You can turn off location permissions from your phone's settings; note that some features (like driver tracking) will stop working.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing info@jana48express.com.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us; we'll remove your information except what we must keep by law.

Children's privacy

JANA48 Express is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect your information, including row-level security on our database and encryption in transit. No system is completely foolproof, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll note that on this same page with a new update date.
